Nagra, for those that don’t know has invented ‘Aladin’ – a card used to encrypt satellite and cable transmissions, has recently confirmed that his ‘Aladin’ card has been indeed hacked, and pirated versions of it are circulating in Europe.

Nagra’s main clients are Echostar’s DiSH DTH and Bell ExpressVu while NTL and Telewest are planning on switching to the technology soon, I guess they will be waiting a bit to see what evolves from this hack.
