Famous Hackers List


I came across an interesting list of famous hackers with information and photos today and I thought I would share them with everyone.

Wozniak, Ritchie, and Mitnick all made the cut :P

    My favorites are ( in the order they are shown on the list ) Dennis Ritchie, Ken Thompson, Andy Tanenbaum, Steven Wozniak, Richard Stallman, Larry Wall, Patrick Volkerding, Theo de Raadt and Alan Cox ( all of them are considered “white hat” )
    I think this is the most complete list I’ve seen out there.

    I won’t explain you where the real hackers belong, but rest assured that you will never meet the best hackers of the planet, because they work in the shadows! hhhahahah!

    That’s not a list of the “best hackers”, it’s a list of the most KNOWN hackers.

    @Constantine – Knuth is on a league of his own. If the Vatican had to put a list of “top 5 saints” they will not include god on the list :)
